Program Information:  

You are needed in content areas often plagued by teacher shortages, including math, science, special education, and bilingual education. You can be teaching in classrooms as of fall 2008.

The Texas Teaching Fellows program is seeking a select group of achievement-oriented professionals to use their knowledge to teach students in Austin, Dallas, El Paso, and San Antonio.  As a Texas Education Agency approved alternative certification program, we are committed to finding and training outstanding individuals to become teachers in the fall of 2008.

No previous experience or coursework in education is necessary. Those with math, science, or bilingual backgrounds are especially encouraged to apply.

Minimum requirements are:

• A bachelor’s degree by June 2008
• A 2.75 GPA
• Eligible to work in the U.S.
• Not already certified
