TEACHER FAIR 2010 INFORMATION:
The most important job in the world is waiting! The Hamblen County
Department of Education will host the district's teacher recruitment
fair on Thursday, April 22, 2010, from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. at the Dr. Joe
E. Gibson Memorial Library, located at Morristown-Hamblen High School
East.
The recruitment fair is designed to attract first-time teachers,
retirees, administrators, and educators who are relocating to the area.
Representatives from each school in Hamblen County will be present to
meet teacher candidates and conduct on-site interviews. Local businesses
will be providing a light dinner from 6:00 - 7:00 p.m.
We are excited about offering this opportunity to upcoming college
graduates, teachers who are new to the county and others who are
interested in teaching in one of the best school systems in the state.
Hamblen County Schools anticipates having several openings for the
2010-11 school year. College students who will soon graduate with a
degree in education are perfect candidates to attend the recruitment
fair. Teachers from other school systems who are interested in working
in Hamblen County and those who have their required teaching credentials
but have never taught are also encouraged to attend. It is our hope that
several vacancies will be filled with quality applicants.
Participants should upload official college
transcripts, copies of PRAXIS scores, copies of teacher licenses with
their on-line application. We are only able to accept on-line
applications.
